Autoren-Porträt
Hans-Ulrich Moritz is full professor at the Institute of Technical and Macromolecular Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Hamburg. In October 1990 he joined the Department of Chemistry at the University of Paderborn as professor for technical chemistry and chemical engineering. After the German reunification Hans-Ulrich Moritz got a call from the Technical University of Dresden in 1993 and in 1995 from the University of Hamburg, whereto he moved in 1996.Prof. Moritz' main research interests are polymer reaction engineering and polymer reactor safety, in particular optimization of polymer reaction processes, development of new reactors, polymerization kinetics, online monitoring, modeling of polymer reactions and reactors.
Werner Pauer is a research associate in the Institute of Technical and Macromolecular Chemistry at the University of Hamburg. His research interests are: 1) Process intensification 2) fast emulsion polymerization 3) mixing of liquids of different viscosities.
Dr. Pauer was a team member in the EU project "thematic network on hazard assessment of highly reactive systems (Harsnet)". The main objective of HarsNet was to introduce hazard assessment techniques for reactive chemicals into the normal working procedures of small and medium enterprises.
