Industrial workers exposed to air borne biological hazards posing a risk of work related respiratory diseases. The fungal endotoxin and allergenic species of fungi were found as important findings. The greatest risk occurs in industrial sector of Davangere district which necessitates the application of appropriate prevention measures. The highest fungal diversity in the air of Azad Nagar rice puff industries, Poultry farm, Poly fiber industries and Sugar industries recorded in monsoon and winter season when conditions for the spread of fungi are most favorable (humidity and temperature), and the contamination sources in the environment are most abundant. In the present study, it is concluded that microbial air quality testing is highly recommended in the industrial sector of Davangere district due to the contamination of the air in the industrial and residential areas. This study was designed to examine the atmospheric fungal diversity within industrial areas and the effect of seasonality variation of fungal populations. The areas such as Azadnagar rice mill, rice puff industries, Harihara poly fiber, sugar industries of Harpanahalli were identified as main area of air borne fungus
