Klappentext zu „A Guinea Pig Oliver Twist “
Fur and fiction combine in this retelling of Charles Dickens's most famous novel, adorably adapted with an all-star cast of guinea pigs.In the misery of a workhouse, a poor, fluffy little orphan called Oliver Twist is fed on nothing but thin air and even thinner gruel. By squeaking a fateful question - 'Please, sir, I want some more' - he unwittingly sparks a series of events that lead him to the smoke and grime of the big city, where he encounters a host of four-legged friends and foes such as the crafty Fagin, mischievous Artful Dodger, faithful Nancy and treacherous Bill Sikes, who sweep young Oliver off of his paws and into the underworld of Victorian London.
Autoren-Porträt von Alex Goodwin, Tess Gammell
Alex Goodwin was born in 1985 and he has an MA in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia. Some people have noticed that much of his writing comes to the length of a medium-sized shopping list; this is explained by the fact that a picture of a guinea pig says a thousand words. He lives in London.Charles Dickens (1812-70) was an English writer, generally considered to be the greatest novelist of the Victorian period and responsible for some of English literature's most iconic novels and characters. He continues to be one of the best-known and most read of English authors, with multiple adaptations of his work frequently being produced.Tess Newall is a set designer who specialises in fashion shoots and decorative painting. She carefully stitched and painted each tiny detail in A Guinea Pig Night Before Christmas, creating a small but perfectly formed vision of Christmas Eve in a guinea pigs's home.
