Torsten Andreas Hoffmann wurde 1956 in Düsseldorf geboren. 1977-84 Studium an der Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig mit Schwerpunkt Fotografie. Währenddessen Lehrtätigkeit und längere Auslandsreisen. Seit 1979 Ausstellungsbeteiligungen und Einzelausstellungen im In- und Ausland. Seit 1988 Arbeit als freischaffender Fotograf. Fotoreisen u.a. in die USA, nach Israel, Indien, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Türkei.
